I needed a case for my two piece 11'3" centre pin rod. So I ordered the RC74 74" model. Pleasantly surprised when it arrived, as it was oval instead of round. Absolutely dearest this pattern as it won't roll around! I remember the shape volition assist prevent instance warping which has happened on the another long instance I take. Rod fit great as well. Couldn't discover shape info on the web site so I loaded some pictures for reference

This rod case is *extremely thin*. While well built and sturdy, y'all're just not going to notice many 9-10ft 2pc rods that have pocket-sized plenty guides to fit in this case. It's best suited for if you have a 5'6" one slice trout rod you desire to protect, or if you have 1 of the very very few surf rods that have small enough guides to fit.
I rod that this does fit is my 9' Shimano Tiralejo surf rod. But it *barely* fits.
Most travelers want a example that tin can hold multiple rods. This case is just non it. It tin can protect i expensive skinny rod, and my Tiralejo workhorse isn't one of my rods that demand this level of protection.
I have yet to discover a better case than the ane that came with my Phenix Rods Black Diamond SX ten' surf rod. It tin can fit 3 rods easily and protected them well on many flights. I was hoping to find a similar example but no retailer wants to sell me ane, and then I might only have to buy another Phenix rod merely to get the instance!

St Croix Traveler Rod Case-74in

Outstanding case for my 2 piece 12 ft carp rod. I took a chance that both sections would fit which they do. Still a tight fit and so make sure you read the within bore detailed in item specs as the case is advertised as existence for 1 rod. I don't accept a large vehicle for my fishing items and equipment can exist easily damaged. No longer have whatsoever concerns for my bother rod as the St Croix Traveller Rod example offers full protection. Information technology has a strap for carrying past hand, not a shoulder strap which I would have preferred. However, I would highly recommend as an addition to your fishing equipment.

The st.croix rod tubes on the inside have private sewn pouches to fit a specific department of the rod. Two rods that interruption down into four pieces won't fit in 1 tube. You may need to go to a plano tube or even a Flambeau bazooka tube.

Is the RC42 made to fit the St. Croix PS66MF2? The handle one-half of the rod has a very large guide that prevents information technology from plumbing fixtures in the case with the built in separator. Length wise it would be fine, but it seems like a stretch to fit this rod.

I have a Ben Doerr as well, unfortunately the RC63 and all the other Traveler Rod cases are designed around their newer / smaller guide models that don't have that bigger lower guide like the Ben Doerr or Triumph surf. And so those cases will not work for you lot. They practise not currently sell a case that volition fit that rod. Please let us know if there is anything else nosotros can assistance you with.
